Course Details

Objectives : This training allows you to acquire or consolidate your knowledge of the basic concepts of S.I.G., applications in different fields, data, software and hardware.
An alternation of practical work and theoretical interventions allows participants to assimilate fundamental concepts and to have answers to their personal problems.

Public concerned : Technicians, study managers, engineers, researchers ... who have or have not already had experience with GIS tools and wish to obtain a broader culture of geographic information.

Acquired skills during the training : • Master the basic concepts of GIS,
• Understand the scope of applications, software tools and geomatics techniques,
• Discuss the available data, their nature, their mode of use and their cartographic bases,
• Understand the main techniques and methods of handling geographic data by alternating theory and practice.

Duration and terms : 4 days, 28 h (7 h/day)
