Objectives :
- Develop high-level skills in applied mathematics which covers all statistical issues encountered in business.
- Illustrate the use of appropriate techniques for dealing with current and future issues in marketing, actuarial science and finance.
- Master programming languages ??for processing massive data.
- Master the implementation of complex algorithms and the parallel and distributed processing of massive data.
Public concerned : The training is aimed specifically at working professionals with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics or at a level accepted as equivalent. Thus, the quality of professional experience can be taken into consideration when accepting candidates who do not have a bachelor’s degree.
Degree Level (EU) : (niveau 7) - (EQC level or equivalent)
Acquired skills during the training : Beyond the traditional acquisition of the scientific background of the data scientist, this training emphasizes both the rigour required for the processing of data (which is often lacking in data mining) and the presentation of the recently developed statistical methodologies. Their function is to produce tools for mathematical analysis, statistical estimation and prediction that are adapted to modern problems, and which are offered through the construction of innovative algorithms programmed in high-performance computer languages. Their mastery will give the data scientists of this training a visibility and a rare and valuable originality on the labour market.
Duration and terms : 300 hours of training over 17 months.
Classes will be held for 3 hours at the end of the day once a week (Tuesday from 18:00 to 21:00) and one day per month (Thursday from 8:30 to 18:30).
Partnerships with national organisations : CEREMADE, laboratoire de mathématiques appliquées
