Course Details

Objectives : The professional Carthagéo master has its place in the current landscape of training in geomatics professions. Its uniqueness lies in the emphasis placed on cartographic representations on the one hand and on spatial analysis on the other. Students are solidly trained in the digital dimension of the management, analysis and representation of geographic information (GIS and DBMS software, conceptual data model, programming, etc.), but they are also prepared to understand the semantic and thematic dimension of geographic information. Maintaining the quality and relevance of training requires adapting lessons to changes in the professional field. In recent years, training has thus evolved to further integrate new cartography technologies (animated and interactive cartography), and new forms of dissemination of geographic information - particularly on the Internet.
