Master Géographie, Aménagement, Environnement et Développement

Objectives : Geography, planning, environment and development course
This master's degree aims to train specialists in the territories, to respond to the challenges of current environmental and socio-demographic changes, by relying on the methods and tools of geography. With a long experience with local stakeholders, the teaching team strives to be consistent:

on the one hand, with the professional objectives of the community and / or business world, by implementing educational content, such as field workshops and regional workshops (tutored projects)
and on the other hand, with the current themes of scientific research carried out by the TVES laboratory.
In addition to tutored projects, methodological and theoretical lessons, this professional master's degree offers two options in the 2nd year which allow to deepen knowledge to develop a territorial diagnosis as a decision support tool.

The Geography and Environmental Risk Management (2GRE) option deals with territorial issues related to environmental risks.
The Innovative and Solidarity Development of Territories (DIST) option focuses on solidarity initiatives and projects that emanate from the territories.

Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)

Admission requirements : Recommended license terms: Bachelor's degree in Economics and management / Geography and planning / History / Life and Earth sciences / Social sciences / Sociology
Capacity: 30 places in master 1

Targeted careers : Geographic information specialist (exploitation and production of geographic, geolocalised information data; cartographic productions)
Territorial development advisor (identify areas of intervention for the organization of territories; participate in the definition of local development strategies and the development of a territory project)
Project manager in territorial development (project set-up; project and team management).
