Master Géomatique, Géodécisionnel, Géomarketing et Multimédia (G2M)

Course Details

Objectives : The common objective of the Master is to allow our students to provide a spatial response to social questions, whether they are destined for academic research, for the production of studies for public or private services, for action. humanitarian, social or union, journalism or territorial management. This spatial response refers to the analysis:

- new models and innovative practices in regional planning;
- issues, practices and tools related to the study and management of environmental issues within the territories (expertise capacity, control of systems, project construction, participation and consultation between stakeholders);
- the technical dimension of decision support practiced by geographers (geodecisional) which is based on IT development coupled with the use of databases with spatial reference;
- vulnerabilities of territories linked to contemporary forms of capitalism, globalization and development practices.


The G2M course is intended to provide a strong IT content (algorithms, programming, development, etc.) and data processing (statistics, spatial analysis, cartography, etc.) to students from SHS, mainly geographers who intend to work in geomatics.

At the end of this training, students will have acquired an in-depth knowledge of the concepts, methodologies and challenges of geography, spatial analysis, locally and remotely (web), applied to geomatics in the broad sense (planning, environment, geomarketing, health, etc.)

Propose and implement self-storage or proprietary storage solutions for spatial reference data
Leverage data silos
Build, enrich, enhance databases
Automate tasks
Spatial data analysis:
Develop and process surveys (web databases)
Produce univariate and multivariate statistics
Produce cartographic analyzes
Propose and carry out spatial analyzes
Programming for querying databases and mapping on the web:
Develop dynamic websites
Create interactive web interfaces
