Objectives : The master's degree in Territory Development, Origin and Quality of Products (DTOQP) is one of the courses of the Land Management and Local Development (GTDL) specialization at Bordeaux Montaigne University. The other two masters of the mention are Human Ecology, environmental issues of production and consumption activities (EH) and Territorial Animation Engineering (IAT).
The DTOQP master's degree is mainly interested in issues related to food, from production to marketing, in the countryside as well as in the city. It prepares for the professions of territorial animation. Many subjects are analyzed during the two years: history of food, agriculture and signs of quality (SIQO), vine and wine, short circuits, relocation of agriculture, Territorial Food Programs (PAT), tourism (especially oeno -tourism, gourmet tourism), international development, etc.
Tools and methods of analysis are provided as part of the teaching, such as cartography (GIS), survey techniques, and territorial diagnosis. Particular attention is given to communication around food.
The training relies on a large number of external partners - both for teaching and for internships - specializing in these different areas.
The common desire of the mention (GTDL) with the EH and DTOQP masters to train professionals in territorial management and local development is reflected in the pooling of a large volume of lessons. Strong mutualizations are carried out with partner establishments: Bordeaux Sciences Agro (BSA) - with joint accreditation of the diploma - and the Institute of Vine and Wine Sciences (ISVV - University of Bordeaux).
The professional situation is carried out throughout the master and by 10 months of internship (4 months in M1 and 6 months in M2).

Targeted careers : Future territorial mediators and facilitators, students are able, at the end of their apprenticeship, to relate product and territory to initiate procedures ranging from the process of labeling a product to communication about it.
The DTOQP course trains directly in the profession of promoter of a territory and its products. Project manager, project manager or consultant, he is called upon to perform, often in a team and in a network, various functions: multidisciplinary monitoring and forward-looking approaches, action engineering, marketing, financial management and even management.
