Objectives : The preservation and management of environmental resources (soil, water, air, biodiversity, biomass, etc.) is today a major issue to guarantee sustainable development of the territories. Indeed, demographic dynamics, at work since the early 1990s, are at the origin of increased competition for the use of resources between the functions of production, housing, recreation and the environment. From these uses arise new issues not only for resources and inhabitants, but also for landscapes and environments, linked to the risks of pollution, contamination, urbanization, erosion, flooding ...
The GREEN specialization aims to train agricultural engineers competent to assess and deal with environmental issues using various approaches and tools (pedology, ecology, hydrology, landscape analysis, cartography, spatial analysis, impact studies , Environmental Law…). These engineers know how to relate the potentialities of the environments and the environmental risks for a reasoned and sustainable management of natural and agricultural spaces.
The training is carried out in collaboration with ENSEGID (National School of Environment, Georesources and Sustainable Development Engineering) one of the 7 engineering schools of Bordeaux INP.
