Objectives : As part of the European LMD (Bachelor-Master-Doctorate) university course, the Paris Observatory offers the Master of Sciences of the Universe and Space Techniques, which over two years offersseveral courses in the second year:
- Master-2 International Research Track (IRT)
- Master-2 Astrophysics (A?), in partnership with the universities Sorbonne Université (SU), Université Paris Cité (UPC), Université Paris Saclay (USP) and with the ENS-PSL
- Master-2 Dynamics of Gravitational Systems (DSG), in partnership with the universities SU, UPC, UPS and with the ENS-PSL
- Master-2 Tools and Systems of Astronomy and Space (OSAE), in partnership with SU, UPC, UPS
- Master-2 Planetology and Space Exploration (PES), in partnership with the universities SU, UPS, University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ)
The objective of the training is to train scientists and researchers specializing in the fields of Astronomy and Astrophysics, and engineers in the field of Space Sciences.
-> Specificities of the training:
The teaching is taught in large research establishments in Paris or close to Paris.
This device offers students:
Proximity to research labs
An opening for international collaborations, especially in the field of space
Access to innovative teaching methods (digital campuses and methodological projects) and to unique instruments (telescopes).
Led by the Paris Observatory, the PSL Master in Sciences of the Universe and Space Technologies (SUTS) includes fundamental lessons in physics and mathematics, more specialized courses in astronomy and astrophysics, as well as practical work in 'observations. Some courses are shared with other member establishments of PSL (Ecole normale supérieure, Paris-Dauphine) or partner universities: Universities Pierre and Marie Curie, Paris Diderot, Paris Saclay. The diplomas awarded are diplomas from PSL University.
