Master 2 Economie des Transports et des Mobilités

Course Details

Objectives : This course is operated jointly by CentraleSupélec for the University of Paris-Saclay and by the École des Ponts (co-accredited institution). It benefits from support in terms of teaching from the IFP School (co-accredited establishment).

The main objective of this course is to offer training dealing with all the questions of economic modeling on the subjects of transport and mobility, but also more global, societal, climatic and natural resource (biodiversity) issues through economic aspects, with an analytical dimension and a prospective dimension. Graduates must have the skills to design strategies in the face of mobility challenges and energy, spatial planning and environmental challenges, particularly with regard to climate change, land take, water pollution and air and the transition to a decarbonized world. They must be able to integrate these strategies into production, service, consulting and finance businesses. They must also have the scientific knowledge enabling the most motivated to integrate private and public research.

Fundamental courses with a research focus will provide the conceptual and theoretical elements to achieve these objectives. Thematic courses focused on practical issues and their management in various sectors (new energies, smart mobility, etc.) allow students to integrate different professional backgrounds with the perspective necessary to exercise a management function.

Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)

Prerequisites : The course is open to students from the M1 EEET or other M1s from other universities, after examining their file. There is also provision for a direct entry stream into M2. The profiles will then be an M1 in economics with a quantitative dimension, a bac+4 level acquired in a Ecole Normale Supérieure, an engineering school, a business school, a university (M1 in mathematics, finance, management, etc.) , or any French or foreign training deemed appropriate by the jury.
