Course Details

Objectives : The professional field “Agriculture and Digital” is offered at the Master level at ISEN. It is mainly aimed at students from the BIAST post-baccalaureate cycle but also at students from IUT Biology who have completed a refresher course in digital technologies by joining the school at BAC+2.

The objective of this professional field is to train engineers by combining skills in agronomy and digital and energy technologies.

Dual skills are now a necessity to support the changes experienced by the world of agriculture, whose plant and animal production must be as neutral as possible with regard to health and the environment.

Within the normative framework of current developments, training must teach engineering students to restore all their values to natural resources and the agricultural products produced from them. This objective requires detailed knowledge of life sciences applied to agricultural production but also mastery of technologies in order to better understand the methods of analyzing environmental parameters (monitoring, prediction) which make it possible to optimize production tools with regard to new ecological constraints.

Mastery of technologies also makes it possible to build recycling chains for untransformed biomass into energy-recoverable products or nutrients for the soil.

In addition to these technical fields, engineers will also be trained in the human sciences and economic aspects of the field.

All of these skills build the profiles of engineers capable of understanding all the problems of the agricultural world, of discussing with all its stakeholders and of being able to propose solutions in the improvement of practices.
