Formation Systèmes de communication sans fils – Chaîne de transmission

Course Details

Objectives : Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to:
- Explain theoretical concepts related to radio wave propagation mechanisms, the role of devices, different types of demodulation, and their characteristics
- Explain radio wave propagation mechanisms and associated models
- Analyze a link budget
- Identify the role of devices in a digital communication chain
- Characterize modulation types
- Establish the relationship between data rate and bandwidth usage
- Explain the advantages of multi-carrier modulation (OFDM - Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing)
- Differentiate between equalization structures
- Explain the roles of analog devices and the impact of their characteristics and specifications on the performance of a digital communication chain

Public concerned : This course is for all personnel (technicians, engineers) who need to acquire in-depth knowledge in a technical field of telecommunications and/or networks. It is also for technical managers, technicians, and engineers who wish to better understand the issues related to radio wave propagation.

Prerequisites : Knowledge of wave propagation and signal processing is required. Knowledge of filtering (analog and digital), probabilities (discrete and continuous random variables, probability density, mathematical expectation, variance, etc.), deterministic and random signal processing (Fourier transform, autocorrelation, power spectral density, Z-transform, Parseval, Schwartz inequality, etc.), and circuit theory is necessary to get the most out of this training.

Duration and terms : 3,5 days
