Objectives : The Geoprospective, Planning and Sustainability of Territories (GEOPRAD) course has innovation as its primary quality. It is the only training in France to teach geoprospective, namely the anticipation of the future of territories in the face of the challenges of sustainable development, through spatial analysis tools, modeling and geographic information systems.
It trains urban planning professionals specializing in territorial geo-prospective techniques. Future environmental specialists who choose to join this course therefore aim to acquire theoretical and practical skills that allow them to tame future environmental developments.
Challenges:
The objectives of the Geoprospective, Planning and Sustainability of Territories course are technical, theoretical and innovative:
Train in innovative approaches to analysis and spatial modeling
Integrating the spatial dimension into sustainable development issues
Master the methods of anticipating the future of territories and go beyond traditional planning approaches
Preparing for a doctorate in geography and applied research professions in territorial sciences
Linking professional and scientific training, in an operational perspective
Specificities:
In addition to being able to follow the first training in France to understand the concept of Geoprospective, students are confronted with concrete and real situations thanks to professional workshops organized in direct contact with the requests of external partners (local authorities, offices of studies, state services).
The workshops take place over a month and a half. It prepares future professionals for teamwork based on specifications drawn up by an organization external to the training (local authority, company, State service). Co-supervised by the teachers of the teaching team and the professionals proposing the subject of the workshop, the students produce a first professional work and also provide a written and oral presentation.

Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)
Admission requirements : Training is selective. It is on file. The selection committee may also call the shortlisted candidates on file for a written examination and an oral interview.
Prerequisites : The candidate for the Master 2 GEOPRAD must hold a Master 1 Geographical Science or Master 1 from industries where space is a factor (design, planning, environment ...) or its equivalent in relevant fields.

Territorial consultant/analyst, within local authorities, urban planning agencies, design offices, and public and private organizations
